About Held With Care
Held With Care was created for the parents and caregivers carrying more than most people realize. When a child is struggling emotionally, behaviorally, or mentally, the entire family feels the impact. Many parents spend so much energy caring for everyone else that they forget they need support too. Held With Care is a place to find understanding, guidance, and steadiness in the middle of challenges that can feel overwhelming and isolating.

My Story
Some of life's most difficult experiences ask us to hold two truths at once: profound love and profound pain.
As a registered nurse, I have spent much of my career working in psychiatric nursing and hospice care — two fields that bring people face-to-face with some of the deepest emotions we experience as human beings. Fear, grief, uncertainty, hope, resilience, and love often exist side by side.
Through this work, I learned that people rarely need someone to fix everything. What they need is someone who can remain calm in the storm, help them make sense of what they are experiencing, and remind them that they are not carrying it alone.
My understanding of caregiving extends beyond my professional experience. I have lived the realities that many families quietly face — searching for answers, questioning decisions, navigating uncertainty, and carrying the weight of loving someone through struggles you cannot simply take away.
Those experiences shaped the foundation of Held With Care.
I created this practice to support parents and caregivers who are navigating the complexities of childhood mental health and behavioral challenges. My approach combines professional knowledge, lived experience, practical guidance, and compassionate support.
I believe that families are stronger than they often realize. With understanding, connection, and the right support, it is possible to move through even the most difficult seasons with greater clarity, confidence, and hope.
Background & Approach
My nursing career has taken me into some of the most emotionally complex moments families can face. Through years of experience in pediatric, behavioral health, and hospice settings, I have supported individuals and families navigating fear, uncertainty, grief, crisis, and life-changing diagnoses. These experiences taught me something that textbooks alone cannot: when a family is struggling, they need more than information. They need someone who can help them find clarity, steadiness, and hope.
My Philosophy
Parents often carry enormous responsibility while trying to support a child who is struggling. They are expected to stay strong, make difficult decisions, and hold their family together — even when they themselves feel overwhelmed. My role is not to judge, diagnose, or tell families what they should do. My role is to walk beside them with compassion, honesty, and practical guidance so they feel less alone and more capable of navigating whatever lies ahead.
Every family comes with their own story. I meet you exactly where you are, without assumptions or criticism.
I believe in telling the truth with kindness — giving you real information you can actually use.
There is no one-size-fits-all path. I honor what makes your family's experience distinct.
My guidance is rooted in clinical knowledge, current research, and years of hands-on experience.
When you feel heard and held with care, real change becomes possible.
